Hi there
I just finished a plexi 50 W kit after preliminary test I found the plate voltage are way higher than those written in the Metro 50 watt plexi kit voltage chart.
I got:
v1 1)160V 6)212V
v2 1)170V 6)305V
v3 1)350V 6)352V
Im using Classic Tone transfo, B+ is 450V, NOS Mustard caps, brand new 12ax7s
Any hints would be helpful
Thanks

Can you post some hi-res shots of your build and the accompanying schematic?

Also since all the voltages are derived from the mains transformer, start there, measure the voltage and at each down the supply. It should be the first place it's higher than normal, that would be the problem.

I'll post some pics
As for the transfo, B+ is 450V at the bridge when standby switch on and no power tubes in.

Re: Pelxi 50W kit, plates voltage issue
It seems i mistakenly set a 47 KOhms instead of a 470Ohms now the voltage are closer to what it should
Now i have to figure out why there is sound coming through on input when volume is set to 0.
Thank you
