Got the wedding band today. She's already had the engagement ring. The two together = 16 Diamonds/White Gold/1.15 CT Center.
I'm getting married in 3 months. We are paying cash for everything, and this is getting expensive, ugh. We're already at about triple our target budget, lol. I want my play money budget back haha.

We actually still haven't decided where to go. We were gonna go to Jamaica, but her grandfather is in his 80's and frail, and is worried about his granddaughter traveling to a "3rd world country"...
So, to be nice, we're looking at domestic spots....Napa Valley, Jackson Hole, Nantucket, etc.

Proposed to my lady in January. We decided to not waste any time and we're getting married on Sunday. We've managed to do the whole wedding thing on a modest budget of $4,000 (not counting engagement the engagement ring!). We've both already had a big wedding in our first marriages, and we were both the ones who did the planning in those weddings, so we're actually capable of pulling of something really really nice but still modest and intimate. I gotta say, bang for buck we did a great job with planning this.
See, we both know how this goes. You spend (waste) all this money and time for something "special" thinking that the more money and time put into it the more spectacular it will be, but the day comes and goes in a flash, nothing goes off perfect, and the whole thing is more fleeting than you want to admit to yourself after going through all the trouble (and money!!!). So instead.... that extra money is going to a Caribbean honeymoon... bitches!
