NWD! EB Wah

Post by GAS KING »

I had been using a DOD FX17, which I like quite a bit.....but wanted to try something more traditional.

Found a EB Wah for a good price and went for it.
It's pretty sweet. Don't use it much in the band tho.
More of a subtle wah.........kind of classic sounding but not as extreme in either toe up or down.

It's super easy to engage/disengage, which is why I was interested in it. Crybabys have been hit and miss for me in the past, and sort of unreliable.

I did read about the EB string method and that it's the weak link. I'm okay with a string breaking, rather than it breaking down for good.
Periodic checks should eliminate it being a problem.

I have one of these and I quite like it. I've never had an issue with the string breaking. The string on my EB VPjr, however, tends to fall off the bobbin or whatever you call it every few months.

Cool!

I don't think I'll ever go back to a crybaby style wah.
