Man, i really didn't like this new season at all for the first 4 or 5 episodes. It's really turned around towards the end. Not as good as the first two but definitely did a 180 from the beginning of the season. I really like the American Psycho wannabe character guy.

The first episode of the current season was really good, then it lulled and is now back to being pretty good again. They ditched those fucking whack musical numbers too thank god

It's good, but one of those shows that's good but also kinda boring at the same time lol

Telephant wrote:What do you guys think of Peaky Blinders on Netflix? I've only watched the first episode but it seems like its got potential.
I watched the first episode, but just didn't quite pull me in. I've heard good things about it, might give it another shot. Most pilots for shows are kind of to me anyway.

I started watching Lilyhammer recently. Goofy show but it's pretty good. Anytime there's a fight scene it kinda sucks though

RIP Freedom.
At least he'll be back on late night. Craig Ferguson and Geoff Peterson are now off the air.
Yeah, my dad loved Craig Ferguson. I thought he was pretty funny too most of the time, but I'm not so much into watching talk shows. I could give a fuck less what famous people say, wear, or do.
I really enjoyed his monologues. Some nights he'd kill it and others, just shit. From what I understand, he usually improvised.

Just finished up Branchwood on Netflix. Cop drama from the UK. Has a familiar setup (child dies, mystery ensues) but keeps you guessing til the end. Very well written with nice dark tone and solid acting all around.
I just finished Season 2 of Under The Dome. I like it . Not the greatest show ever, but..
I wish it were a regular weekly program.

Just finished Breaking Bad for the third time. First time through my wife and I kept saying we'd never watch it again. As soon as we finished it the first time we went and bought the complete set and watched it again. Third time just as good. Something about the way it all wraps up just makes you want to see it all again.
I hope Better Call Saul actually gets made at some point. That sounded pretty amazing too.
We also started House of Cards. Seven episodes in it seems pretty good for a political intrigue style show. Lord knows I've seen much more boring. And getting to see that Cabin In the Wood's chicks floppies and underwear prancing again is nice.
Watched Black Mirror. There are 3 episodes on Netflix. The first one was twisted and pretty good. Watched the second one and fell asleep. The third episode was equally as snooze-inducing as well as uncomfortable to watch in a, "look at their relationship imploding" sort of way. Without any other redeeming qualities, imo. The whole Techno-phobe twilight zone description was apt yet a little too generous, as it was overall boring as f**k.
Started watching The Following. Avoided it up to this point as it was on Fox. Which made me think Prison Break with serial killers Hannibal and Blacklist have turned me around a bit in my opinions of major network programming; so we gave it a go. I am glad we did.
Still not fully sold on generic, Thomas Jane-lite in the role of lead villain but the premise is good (albeit a little cliched) and Bacon and the rest of the cast do a good job with it. Writing is solid and the story moves along at a good clip. Interested to see how it progresses for sure.
Tonight I'll be finishing House Of Cards season 2. I'm pretty certain it'll end on a cliff hanger since the new episodes won't appear until the end of February.

Watched episode 1 of Peaky Blinders... I'm in. Looks promising based on the first episode alone. I really love the way it's shot and the art direction with the use of colors and set design. Very cool.

Get a Roku or Apple Tv and steal a friends HBO GO and SHOWTIME GO password and that's all you need in life.
