Any guitar with an SSL-5 should have no problem. My Gilmour Strat has that pickup and I use that guitar for my one band all the time for heavy stuff. Love that pickup.
My Tech Grind'ish band, Sulaco
My "I dont know how to describe it" band, CHRMR
My old instrumental prog band, BML
My metal band, Contrarian

Buy my Signature Mason BG Hellabucker

Friedman BE100 :shake:
Marshall JCM800 1987
Helix Floor

Happily endorsed by ESP Guitars and BG Pickups
Also, lot's of Charvel's and Fender's on hand

i've read good things about that one, but i've never come in contact with one to try it out.

the strat i'm playing in the video is an unmodified 40th anniversary strat from 94. it's pretty bitchin'.

My strat sounds better.

My bridge pickup is wound to ~11k, with 43awg I think. Sounds almost as meaty as a humbucker, and with the tone rolled down a touch, I can barely tell the difference.

Wow, I actually thought it was some sort of bad ass amp too

I actually have one of those Vamp-2's and also run it into a small Fender practice amp at home. :thu:

Pretty heavy for the stock single coils. I've actually grown really fond of single coils for heavier stuff because of the way they feel.
