Need new music. GAB knows best.

Post by RyanDistortion »

I'm fresh out  All my bands have released their latest for a year or so and I got nuffin' new.

I like sing/scream bands, metalcore, djent, post-rock. I was trying to get in to mastadon but they wearn't doing it for me enough to buy and burn an album. Just to rattle off some guys that have been in my car for a while: Tool, Protest the Hero, Alexis On Fire, In Flames, Chevelle, Killswitch Engage, Coheed and Cambria....others. You know, big guitars and big vocals. All suggestions welcome but I would prefer an entire album.

You're seriously deficient in your Sabbath, Zeppelin, (older) ZZ Top, and... SRV

Red Fang, awesome stoner rock:

The Sword this album is Black Sabbath meets early thrash, they get more ZZ top and then doomish on later albums:

Metalcore you say? Zao:

Underoath, sure, they really kicked off crabcore, but they fucking rule:

And then two because no musical collection are complete without them:

Amon Amarth:

Strapping Young Lad:

Oh, also, He Is Legend. Pick a time in their catalog, its gonna sound a little different.

You're not going to go wrong though. Your speakers might die at the end.

The whole Alien album by SYL is a masterpiece. Same with City.

If you're looking for some instrumental stuff the latest Animals as Leaders is bad ass.
