Watsup Gabbers?

Post by Maddnotez »

New member here.

I've played guitar about 19 years. Been in a few bands, did some traveling.

I've played the drums alot as well, I used to be good in my teens/early 20's but I barely play anymore and I am just too out of shape to play what I like (metal)

I am a family guy now but still like to play. Just starting a new band and we will do the weekend thing.

I do not have much money but I am addicted to amps and gear.

Thought I would join in on the fun.

I'm not ignoring you. It's just I can't hear your BL80 BS over the awesomeness of my AXA12's, G12H30(55)'s, and EVM12L's.

No I wasn't referring to ignoring my speaker recommendation. I just meant in a general sense.

Is this how you found out - watching this vid?

That musta been one helluva W T F ? ! ? ! ? ! moment :D

I had a similar one with an old 70's Fender Twin Reverb that I'd had for years. When I went to sell it and was tearing it down for gut shots, I discovered a pull-pot on the master volume. Got real excited until I plugged in in and found out that they should'a called that the 'Turd' switch. Some fucker at Fender CBS apparently didn't understand that gain boost was supposed to be musical.

Not sure how to multi quote but I have noted:

Completely ignore Mike, never try BL80's or Bass picks and buy a super sweet randall with a secret EVH knob.

Ha! Those CBS Fuckers are real scallywags!
Yup, that's the video that filled me in on the big secret. I was actually looking for schematics for the RG80 when I came across the video.
After seeing part about the pull knob, I pretty much ran to the amp to see what it was all about.
I owned that amp for 25 years so, it was like a second HNAD!!! It was an exciting moment to say the least!
The pull out is really great for bedroom levels but, not live. The amp really sings at full volume.

Better than double blow...

I can say I despise every Schecter I have ever layed hands on however I hear the new line is better with thinner neck profiles and Board radius?

The ones I have played sounded great but the necks were very bad for me. I am more of a Wizard kind of guy.
