You're sure it was SM2 and not SM3? Or...are you talking the new Spiderman series..the Amazing Spidey or whatever?

I think we should reboot all series 1 year after they come out. Keep making sequels while rebooting. BRING IT HOLLYWOOD!

It's also important to keep covering the origin story constantly. I know we're hitting it every 2 to 3 films these days, but we can do better. I'd like to see every super hero film be at least 1 hour of backstory.

One of the reasons the movie lost a whole point for me

I also did not like the total regenerative blood deal for many reasons.

ugh. That cost the movie a point as well... the implications of completely regenerative blood to society/military/etc I could let pass.

If Batman vs. Superman does not spend equal time (like you said, at least an hour) on the backstory of both, I will be angry.

Paul Bunyan Axe Giant - lol

I can't even grade this one. Basically, Paul Bunyan is a giant jerk who slaughters a bunch of troubled youths who are being forced to camp out in the wilderness. For the campy slasher genre, the story really isn't that horrible. Unfortunately, they apparently had a <$100 budget. First, the actors are awful. I have seen Sci Fi originals with better acting. Second, the CGI is quite possibly the worst I have ever seen, and this is what makes the movie worth watching. It isn't quite as good as the special effects in Army of Darkness, but like AoD, the all around poor quality of the effects enhances the experience.

This is the kind of movie to put on late at night and laugh at while drinking a few fine adult beverages.

If you like shitty slasher horror, you need to see Quiltface. You say the CGI was bad in that movie? CGI doesn't exist in Quiltface's world. The movie is framed with some douchebag wearing a leather coat standing in front of a bunch of candles babbling about how important this story is and all that kinda shit. Seriously, one of the most funny damn movies I've ever seen.

The previews attached to Quiltface make the rest of the fare from that studio look equally stellar.

The Fisher King- I'd never actually seen this movie before and I didn't realize it was a Terry Gilliam flick. Its hard to rate as its really good, but I wasn't exactly in the mood to watch it so giving it a fair rating is difficult.

I'll just leave it at damn good movie and I miss Robin Williams.

It encapsulated both his manic, crazed side, but a human, scared side as well. Really good and I'm going to have to watch it again another time.

I really like most Terry Gilliam movie's I've discovered.

Divergent - 0/10. Holy shit I don't know if I've ever seen a movie this bad. Had to turn it off half way through. Made Noah look like the pinnacle of film making

Wow. I saw Divergent in the theater and didn't think it was that horrible. I mean, at least it remained self-consistent. Just another teens saving the world from adults movie really. And while there are way too damn many of them, and my wife wants to see them all, this was one of the least offensive of the bunch.

And any straight man that claims he didn't enjoy watching her climb the tower is either lying or scared of getting the pedo-police on their ass.

It is indeed depressing; but hopeful at the same time. I am not sure I would call it one-dimensional; moreso Robin playing it straight for the one of the first times in his career (iirc). He stood toe to toe with DeNiro at a time when DeNiro was at the top of his acting game (aka pre-Meet the Fokkers part 97 dog :crap: ) and it was impressive to watch imo.

I'll probably watch it eventually. I tend to shy away from "heavy" or "depressing" movies as life is enough of that.

Speaking of DeNiro, WTF happened to him? He used to be awesome and then he apparently decided the Nick Cage route of taking any and every role and then just not even gaf in most of them.
