Pretty cool. I had never seen this before and thought I would share it. Apologize in advance for not knowing how to embed from my phone.

Jake was a monster-unique player, never heard the Bolin comparison

I think the Badlands stuff was more his style (dirty hard rocking blues type) was probably a little better suited for him. He seemed to have some magic with the singer (he passed away, i think his name was Gillen?..) Anyway Jake was good in Ozzy, (very good) but he was also good in Badlands, he is like a little sloppy but just awesome at the same time

His most recent record was 'so-so' (from the clips i saw/heard, not bad but not great either) with his new band, but at least good 2 see Jake playing again
^ Good deals with Glizard (ADA), electricdreams (Vetta) Fat Lou (Splawn) Tubesteakfortone (Marshall 3203, Riot pedal) agreed (Hafler-Radial) twisty571 (Mosvalve 962) Orbis Mortis (egnater) ~Abstract~ (JC amp) jn062181 (AXE - FX) ^

The singer was Ray Gillen. He died of AIDS in December of 1993.

:(

As far as the Bolin comparison, Jake has mentioned him as an influence from time to time. I don't hear it so much in Jake's rhythm guitar playing and song writing but moreso in his leads.

Yeah I know Bolin was a huge influence. In fact I believe Jake named his first band Teaser after the Bolin album.
My comment was a bit tongue-in-cheek, mainly referring to the slide and the fact the two look a bit alike. Although, I definitely hear a little of the "Wild Dogs" extended solo in some riffs here.

Thanks for the embed. :thu:
