Although this guy sounds good through a cab it doesn't need one as it has a built in load box. Without a cab you can still go direct from the line outs to a PA or recording interface (or use the headphone outs).

I got to mess around a little with it a little using the built in cab sim and it sounds great. You could bypass the cab sim in the unit and use your own IRs for recording as well.
