Toontrack EZdrummer 2 released. My first demo video

Post by thefyn »

Downloaded it an hour ago and tested out the new metal kit as part of exdrummer 2:

Early thoughts...Me likely. No problems and I like the kit. Not a fan of the groove I picked but for something thrown together and unmixed I know it's going to be a great tool.

The riff is really cool. The drums, to me, has little difference to the EZD 1.

So now you owe us a review of the plugin telling us what is new, what is different and everything else. :D

The metal kit sounds more like the Sneap add on pack than the original EZD 1 kit which is pretty tame compared to it.

I havent spent any time with it since. I'll take a better look on the weekend where I will try and write a new song with it.

I was only poking fun at him. I like that song quite a bit.

I wasn't going to purchase EZdrummer 2 as I have Superior and most of the expansions for it. THEN I saw Ola's demo vid of the browser/search functions. Unbelievable. I absolutely love it. It works SO well, there's not much use for an external midi input anymore. The way it can suggest parts and then you can also "instruct" it to add hits, it gets really close to the feeling you get jamming with a live drummer.

So do you guys think I should upgrade to EZDrummer 2 or do a crossgrade to Superior 2.0? I have been debating getting a better suite of VST drums and have considered BFD 3.0 from FXpansion (as I have BFD Eco and love its sounds) or now deciding between Superior 2.0 or EZDrummer 2...

What do you guys say?
