Neumann KH120A monitors with stands

Post by Markdude »

FS: Pair of Neumann KH120A active monitors and pair of Ultimate Support MS80B desktop monitor stands
$1250 shipped

I bought all of these new at the same time from American Musical Supply in November 2013. They have 5.25" drivers. I am floored by these (especially with the Mackie subwoofer I also bought) for recording, mixing, and casual listening! I found myself wanting to listen to music much more often with these. It was a night and day difference between the Equator D5s I was using previously. They also seem to be a lot less directional and it's much easier to stay in their sweet spot so the treble response doesn't lack. They are in mint condition (although the construction of the Ultimate Support stands' foam material gives them a strange almost dirty look, but they work great). These are pretty heavy and I worry a little bit about shipping, so local pickup is strongly preferred (and once again, we can negotiate a discount on price for local pickup).

Dude, they rule. You can come over and listen to 'em if you want. And I'll hook you up with a discount on the sub if you buy it with the monitors.

I think I'm more sad about selling the monitors than the guitar! I want to buy another pair one day but I'm almost scared they'll get discontinued since they seem to be a bit of a sleeper in the monitor world. But they do get incredible reviews when they are mentioned. With the sub (I set the volume low and the proper crossover so it just sounds like a natural extension), they're godlike.

Price drop on the monitors + stands (that and the audio interface are the only things still available): $1250 shipped, $1200 local pickup.
