It looks great Josh, American Black Walnut is my favorite wood for amp cabinets etc. The freaking dust from working with it is killer :freak: it's the only time I wear a mask in the woodshop.

You should post this in the "effecs" forum here, a lot of the guys are building pedal boards over there.

Very neat and tidy :thu:

Thanks Casey...I hope to one day have a decent build plan for a wooden and shielded/grounded guitar effects pedal chassis:)

Two matching Wormy Chestnut “Micro” amp stands...

Here's the build thread: http://www.atlas-stands.com/index.php/f ... -amp-stand

I love this old timber, it's amazing to work with. It came from a reclaimed barn in North Carolina near here. Both stands weigh 8.25 pounds.

This would look good in hardwood too. I stole this image from the Telecaster DIY forum, so I hope the owner doesn't mind.

yes, that is on my bucket list...along with the wooden shielded/grounded pedal chassis.

For some reason the list grows faster than I can keep up.

OK you've convinced me...I'm gonna make one...didn't recognize the cove cut on the table saw until tonight. I need a spindle sander in a bad way though.

Spreading good vibes and helping our neighbors.

We built this custom Spalted Hackberry Atlas Low Rider w/ folding Kick-Out guitar stand last week.

A Table Top fits in the center of the base for use with stacked rigs.

Last weekend the Nashville Amp Expo went well, it was awesome mixing with many of the amp and guitar builders. So much to learn with so few hours in a day.

This thread is amazing. Can't believe I'm just now seeing it. Josh i love the old school/rustic aesthetic of these stands. The amp stand with the guitar stand built in is so frickin' cool! And I know some cats who would love one of those chassis stands. I'm gonna send them a link to this thread. Keep up the great work and keep postings pics!

This is a solid mahogany Low Rider Atlas Stand with a Kick-Out Guitar Stand and a Table Top for the amp head. Blackfoot Custom Amps was nice enough to let us use their amplifier for the picture, and one of Cavey's Custom Guitars is a perfect fit.

This is the one of only two Atlas Low Riders to have ball socket closures.

Just too cool, :thu: Walnut is my favorite wood.

As soon as I get my woodshop set up again, a chassis stand is the first thing I am going to build. I have some Black Walnut on hand already. It would never look like your level of craftsmanship but I am sure it'll be functional.

Not only does the wood look great, but you have some great designs. I'm sure you've worked hard on them and everything looks like they work together so nicely!
