Yeah I've seen some over the years. I think it's badass, personally.
Not quite the same but ole boy from Toadies played a Jazzmaster with a Floyd when I saw them live a couple years ago. He was playing through one of the little oranges (AD?) and his tone was killer.
EVH had at least one custom Peavey Wolfgang with p90's and a Floyd. He plays it in the video (and the recording) for "Without You"
It's a fucking awesome sound
