Man, those Splawn cabs are pretty. The tolex on the corners is so perfect, I thought for a minute it was a spray coat.

Good eye - it is spray coated
I had the cabinets coated with duratex. Splawn has a special method of application that makes it look like tolex
Oh, OK, good. I'm not going crazy.

im kidding. dat ibby finish you did that?
If weight equals inferiority then you would be right - those cabinets weigh just as much as I do
Yeah the Ibby finish I am responsible for. Took the guitar completely apart and spent quite a few hours bringing the finish back up to a mirror shine. It was part of a collection fromf a store owner in SC. I did an even trade with another guitar, and gave it some TLC. It now has a JB in the bridge, PAF in the neck. One of the best playing guitars in the lot

Amps aren't really all that special. 5150 II that is far from stock, and a low serial number '94 mesa Tremoverb. I did gut the 5150 II and turned it into a 2 channel amplifier. Currently working on a lead volume/gain boost design to replace the crunch channel. I much preferred the lead channel gain turned down for crunch. Sounds good.
The tremoverb is under the knife. Designing a quad bias system and beefing up the power supply for quad KT88's. Improving a few designs, and currently board designing in what little free time I have.

Welcome man! I'm pretty sure I remember you from HCAF.....didn't you have an avatar of a kid with a "beard beanie" for a while? Or did I just imagine that?
Awesome gear!!
