Electrical Guitar Company Buzz Osborne Signature Aluminum

Post by macgaj3 »

Need to clear out the stable for 2 new acquisitions coming in shortly. This guitar is my #1, sounds and plays awesome, not to mention looks that'll stop you in your tracks.

Unlike newer iterations of the Buzzo, this guy has a tune-o-matic style roller bridge and EGC's standard 25.1" scale, fitting comfortably between standard Gibson and Fender lengths. This also has a fatter neck than most EGCs, similar to a Gibson 50's cut...chunky but not a full-on baseball bat. It is fitted with Sperzel locking tuners.

Despite being all aluminum, it weighs only about 10 lbs, no worse than a good Les Paul, due to its two-piece hollow body construction. It has two of Kevin Burkett from EGC's custom wound pickups, which are incredibly well balanced. Lots and highs and lows to be found. Overall the tone is similar to a Les Paul, but with much better mid-range response, and much better overall tonal balance.

The alumium fretboard is super slick, which makes bending a breeze, and it stays in tune really well.

The guitar is in good shape, but does have a few surface scratches, mostly on the back from belt buckle wear. It is obviously pretty susceptible to fingerprinting, too, so you'll have to excuse the pictures. Any imperfection that shows in the pictures is almost guaranteed to just be due to that, or the reflection of the trees in my back yard. I will throw in a tub of Billet Aluminum polish with it to help keep it nice and shiny. It also comes with a nice G&G hard case (same kind PRS and Fender use for their hard shells).

New Buzzos cost $2200 with a 14-month wait, looking to sell this for $1800. Would consider trades that net me at least $1000 in cash. If you have any questions or would like more pictures, holler!
