First thoughts: If is sounds good (and it does)... YES! Why not? What we're hearing is obviously not just a guitar and amp - there's external compression, overdrive, verb, and maybe some delay and chorus going on. I'd have to say, why not use this amp to record? The person who made the vid tweaked out an excellent sound!

Obviously there are other things going on! However, if you are just listening to the voicing on his guitar that little Champ is incredible for tones it gets! The outputs are two 6V6's, the diversity of that little. $300 amp is amazing! Yes, the total mix is good for an amp demo, but, just concentrate on that amp tone. I'm buying one...I think it is a sleeper!!

Always loved the Champ sound. Champs may not be tonally versatile but, they certainly have a place in the universe!

That is a new model. Not really new; they have changed a few things since it's first release, but, it's a new amp. Download some of the voicing via internet.

Not sure what you mean by "download some of the voicing via the internet" ?
Is it for Kemper profiling?

No. Fender has a download for those amps to tweak the amp tones in the modeling. I can 't remember what each of the sixteen settings are, but, you can mod them. Like, voice three is a Dumble clone, but, you can change some parameters via net.

Ahhh Ha!
... just checked out a description of the amp at Musician's Friend... the Voicing knob give you different amp sounds Very cool!
It even has a USB ouput! What will they think of next?
The last time I played a Champ was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away and they didn't have a voicing knob back then

It does sound good if you don't play metal. It's not really that quiet though. It has some volume to it.

Yea, I don't do the metal thing. Has some useable voicing for rock and blues.

You can download tweaks to the voicing via the usb through your PC. I would think for a beginner amp, or, low watt practice amp it is worth the jack?!!
