As the Palaces Burn Documentary streaming

Post by JiveTurkey »

Forgot how much I loved this album as I haven't listened to it in years. I know there was a thread about the remaster and this doc is a nice companion piece. Devin Townsend is a added bonus; despite how the original final product mix turned out. Absolutely KILLER riffing and drumwork \m/

Listening to the original as I work. The drums are a bit weak sounding but guitars and vocals are really solid imo. It probably doesn't compare to today's loudness wars level in the mastering department; but it is such a killer cd. If I was DT and showed up and the drummer had a metal beater and a quarter taped to his kick drum head; I would probably replace the drums sounds as well

Saw this documentary last night and really enjoyed it. Great look at how ATPB came together originally. LOVE the re-mix version.

I just watched it. It was an interesting film with some insight that was fairly shocking. I haven't heard the re-mix yet, but I look forward to it.
