I can't imagine the weasel who thinks this is 'too risque'. At most they can recut that one half-second shot of the some dude's buttocks or the half-second flash of the gal with the whip.

Stubbs was packed. I love playing that place (the stage sound is great) but man that bar is so fucking overpriced... Kinda like Antones.

Man ACL canceled yesterday because of flooding so they never got to play. Would have been their first ACL show too.

ACL = Austin City Limits Festival. It used to be just one weekend but this year it was two weekends. Friday night I saw Queens of The Stone Age while it was pouring rain. Epic! :rawk:

thats who i felt real bad for was the local guys yesterday. ACL was destroyed.

3' deep water everywhere.

franz ferdinand ended up playing infest (a shitty place where antones used to be)
AFP ended up doing ACL live at the moody theater
the mogwlis (?) played the homeless shelter in exchange for supplies for the homeless.

not that i know of, no. in fact, bands playing the festival have to sign a contract with C3 promotions not to play in/around austin, PARTICULARLY (outlined specifically in contract) ACL live tapings within i believe 6 months before or after.

i know austinites that dont know the difference.

Damn that's pretty hardcore. I would imagine local bands signing that would have to balance playing the big event vs. keeping regular gigs close by.
