These days I mostly listen to Metal and not as much jazz anymore as I used to, but I just happened to listen to some Wes, and I love this solo of his in particular, probably one of favorite guitar solos:
"If there was only a way that I couldn't even any less than I already can't then I'd gladly not, but I think I've entered some quantum paradox, dark matter levels of can't evening where the total absolute value of not evenness exceeds all ability to explain the can'ting." - MR RUBATO
I love his stuff. Was listening to some Hendrix shows with a friend of mine & he started pointing out stuff that Jimi "stole" off of Wes. He threw some wes in & showed me what he was talking about. Absolutely beautiful playing. I need to pick up some of his stuff.
Lsiten to Jimi's performance @ Woodstock. All kinds of Wes Montgomery influence in there.

Yup, Hendrix was definitely influenced by Wes, as was SRV.
