Black Sabbath - 13

Post by RSBro »

I didn't find a thread on this, so I thought I'd give my input...

Admittedly, I've always liked Ozzy but wasn't even born yet I think when B.S. broke up so I've liked them here and there but never been the fanboi my predecessors have. I dl'd this just to see what was up, and man, this thing kills. I know some people don't really like the single "God Is Dead?" but I haven't been able to keep it out of my head for weeks now. Everything about it is so perfect. How these guys with just a guitar, bass and drums can sound so HUGE in a mix is a testament to their writing and how they gel together. I know Wilk was on drums, but anyway... The guitar and bass tones are fucking stellar. Ozzy sounds like studio Ozzy (which is always good, but terrible live) and there seems to be a lot of energy just bouncing off the tracks. Some of my fave's include:

anyway, i refuse to give Sharon any $$ so i may send Tony and Geez like $5 each and call it a day lol.
it's definitely worth a full-through listen.

Yeah, I know. And I'm sleepy from being up 'til all hours cause I was too pumped to sleep after Pacific Rim. Maybe I can convince the boss we have to go to it as a department to see how leadership and teamwork are supposed to be done. Call it a morale boosting team building meeting.

We almost did that with the last episode of Star Wars.

I have to try and do this not-for-profit childcare tax return today... it involves two things very low on my interest level-

people working to not make money + young children = kill me now lol

the NFP tax returns are such a huge PITA too. and they HAVE to do it this way b/c they receive partial gov't/state assistance. it's absurd.

I said this in the other thread but... The first verse of End of The Beginning are some of the worst lyrics I can remember hearing. Just so dumbed down it hurts... That guitar solo on Damaged Soul is bad ass though. Surprisingly VERY Hendrixy.
