I'm being 100% serious when I ask this, because I cannot relate at all and don't "get it"................what attracts you to this music?

Rather than say it sucks, I'd like to know what appeals to you guys about it? (In hopes that I can enjoy it as well.)

I think the OP pretty well sums it up:

Murdoch wrote:I have no idea why I have only just fairly recently started listening to this album. Everything about it is freaking amazing. Tone, writing, vocals, performances, just everything. I cannot believe that I hadn't listened to this album sooner. I know, I suck.

However, I can understand why people don't like it. It is fairly complex and atmospheric music. But that's what I love about it.

You shouldn't have to explain your musical tastes to someone who lacks musical talent.

Just listened to about 10 minutes so far....color me impressed. I never gave Karnivool a chance for a variety of reasons. Main reasons being not a fan of bands they are often mentioned with and their name just makes me think of Juggalos and other icky things. *shudder*

I don't think I'd actually buy this album as I'm not sure I'd listen to it often, but damn, its pretty impressive. Technical, without being a turnoff. The vocals are nice. Clean, without that "power metal wail" as too many clean metal singers have today. (the other issue being screamo whining, which oddly, I can handle usually)

Thanks for sharing dude. I'll have to check out more.
