New fuzz day - GC gonna GC

Post by rock flag and eagle »

One of the first pedals I made was a fuzz factory clone , I etched the board and everything . Sounds like a fuzz factory but I always wanted to buy a real one and compare.
Found a used vertical one on musicians friend for a good price , shipped from a New Jersey Guitar Center. Guess I shouldn’t have been surprised that it was not packed in a box and just shipped in a paper padded envelope.
Luckily no damage to the pedal , plugged it in and sounds like a fuzz factory. I think my diy one is a lot noisier. I can tame this one much easier and was getting some really cool Velcro gated fuzz and some 8 bit sounding stuff. This will make a nice addition to my fuzz family that will do something different than anything else I have.
