Had a guitar I've been trying to sell for months on FB with nothing but tire kickers. Messaged a guy this morning about a possible trade for his Kemper rack, and he was all about it. Few hours later came home with this:
I've only used a Kemper (powered toaster) several years ago for a couple hours when a buddy got one so I need to brush up on making the best of this thing. Dug up my USB with all the profiles I loaded on his, so that's saving me about $150 right off the bat.
Any particular power amp favored for this thing? I'm tempted to go find a Mosvalve and call it a day...?

Nice!! I had 2 of them I like them for what they are. As far a digital goes they're still one of the better options. The trick is to audition a lot of profiles and find profiles you like with minimal tweaking. I found that if you have to EQ a profile too much, it starts to lose character.
As for power amp, I have always used mine straight into the PA. That's the point of the Kemper to me, if I had to bring a cab/power amp etc I'd just bring a head.
But if I had to get a power amp for it it get something small and transparent like say the ISP Stealth.
The Mosvalve has a tone/color. Which is cool with a regular preamp but with the Kemper, it gets in the way IMHO.

I have a 180watt Camplifier that retrofits into the back of the toaster. It's really good. Of course; I don't have a toaster so it kind of just sits in my gear closet. I also really like the one Kemper uses in it's powered formats. Through a 4x12 it sounds HUGE. You have a pretty nice power amp sitting right underneath it already
I have been using one for about 7 years and my advice is get some good profiles from reputable guys and don't get caught up in the rabbit hole of searching forever for sounds because there are literally thousands of profiles out there. The liquid profiling is a game changer. Also they just released Rig Manager for Android. Know what tones your looking for and tweak some of the ones you already have/own. The Kemper IMHO is the best in the field and just keeps getting better.

Solid advice that I should've followed when I had mine. I stuck with the Britt profiles back in the day, because like you said, Rabbit Holes. I think it was too much of a piece of gear for me as I was unwilling to read the manual.
