Yeah its an amazing amp. This one even has the EF86 tube in it. Normal channel + treble booster = awesome! Came across it on FB marketplace bc i was looking for a vox style amp and this one was up for a good price. Was quite the drive to pick it up but worth it!
Damn, I remember the Valvetech Hayseeds from the HCAF days. They were all the rage for that perfect vintage AC30 tone, and I remember thinking they were fantastic. Haven't seen any in years so it's cool you picked one up.

Yeah I remember them from HCAF dayss too. I was actually looking for the handwired version of the vox ac30 and this popped up. had to have it.

Nice amps! Do those Music Man amps do good drive tones or just cleans?

Congrats, a shame that builder went under. I met him at an Amp Show in Dirty Jersey and he was a truly an amp mad scientist. I had a Valvetech VAC 25 2x12 and it was amazing. That amp had some great dirt tones too. How is the MM HD-130? I was looking at one but with the SS front end and tube power section I wasn't too sure.

Never saw one in person but definitely remember the popularity on HCAF back then. Didn’t someone have some bad ass W/D/W rig with one of them at some point?

VAC25 is the one I had. It was a 25 plexi style amp with a good loop and master volume.
I should have kept it but I was a real fucking noob and didn't know how to appreciate how cool that amp was.

The MM is actually a pretty sweet amp. Even though its a hybrid I am loving the tones I am getting out of it. Quite the pedal platform and the cleans are dope. Mine has the tube phase inverter opposed to the solid state. Also, the power tubes run super hot. 700+ volts on the plate. Mine has JJ E34L's which are supposed to be able to handle the higher voltage requirement.
Yeah man the MM is the sound of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. As iconic as they come.

The 6l6 version was the HD-150. I had one for a while. It was by far the loudest guitar amp I have ever played through. I was using it with the matching 2x12 cab loaded with EV12ls and a massive port. It claimed to be 150 watts and sure sounded loud enough to be. The built-in phaser was pretty cool too. Mesa v-twin pedal and a univibe sounded great through it.
