C9, C add9, and C sus2 difference?

Post by Bonano »

Does C9 imply a flat 7 too (C, D, E, G, Bb)? And is a C sus2 without a 3rd (C, D, G)?

I could be wrong on this, but I believe a C9 has the b7th in it, an add 9 would just be a a C chord with a 9th on top, and correct, sus chords do not have the third in them
