Gibson tech

Post by fretless »

Way before Henry built the robot Gibson was pushing new tech. Not always industry changing but they tried. Ever see these Schaller/ Gibson tuners circa 80’s. They have flip up winding cranks on them. So called speed winders.

That's actually pretty cool. I wonder why they didn't take off?

Probably because everyone had a bunch of string winder at home already. They used to give them away for free at music stores when you bought a guitar. :idk:

They're not super easy to use :idk:

Like Bill said, plastic string winders have been around forever and do a much better job all around.
