Sweet--Love is Like Oxygen. I heard this song for the first time in about 20 years the other day when I was listening to a rebroadcast of a Casey Casem countdown from 1978. It's absurd that my local "classic" rock stations never play this song or anything else worth a :crap: .

Hell yes !

The extended version is even better :rawk: (being you heard it on the radio I'm sure they didn't play the extended version with the guitar harmonies)

Great stuff for sure. I need to add Sweet's catalog to my collection. I love how the barely distorted rhythm guitars sound so heavy with the strong groove supporting them, then the vocal melody and harmonized vox take it to an insanely musical level. This track is meant to be cranked through a genuine hi-fi system. Mp3/digital/computer monitors don't cut it here.

A fave of mine.

Gets points for being in the Goodfellas soundtrack as well

Queens of the Stone Age - Vampyre of Tme & Memory

I've listened to this song at least three times a day since the album came out.

I have no idea if this is a song already or if my brain just went full-blown obsession over something it dreamt up, but there's this riff that's been playing through my head most of the day. I sure as hell don't THINK I've ever heard it before, but maybe I did somewhere and this is a back of the mind thing.

Every time I go into a sandwich bar in the morning to get breakfast, whatever is on the bill oddy radio... I don't even know what it is half the time, it's just annoyingly catchy when I'm half asleep.

I play my own version of Gimme Shelter. Kinda Corrosion Of Conformity-ish, with a tinge of Jimi, for good measure
