Bought one of those Rockhouse RPB boards a while back and finally took a moment to toss it together. Just wanted a tuner and boosts, so I had grabbed the little one. Only problem? The compartment for the power supply is covered by a screwed-on metal plate. Solution?
And since we all know how important deburring holes is! I got a little carried away with the dremel. God forbid I ever do anything without a slight edge of failure around it. You can see the scrapes from my slips around the edge of the rubber grommets I bought to keep from tearing my fingers up every time I go to turn it on or off.
Holes placed over the battery switches:
Really dig the quality of the board itself. Nice metal inserts for the screws to hold the cover in place and grommets all around the perimeter to keep the cords tidy. Very nice, sturdy little board.
(I keep a second Decimator in the loop of the amp, for those curious about the up-front-only approach on the board.)
To celebrate, a quick full-volume DSL clip with the dual SD-1s engaged.

Looks and sounds great! Makes want to try the double SD1 trick. Just have to figure out if the black or yellow one that I have should go first!

Sweet clip! Still have yet to try the double boost deal.

Nice board. Interesting boost placement. I have two Bion Boosts as well as a SD-1 and TS type pedal. The thing I noticed with the Bion is that it does Not like a buffered pedal in front of it. It really messes with the tone if I have a buffer before it. I don't know why, but in my rig at least I have to run the Bion first. I rarely use it, but even my gate is after the Bion. I do have a polytune before it, but it's in true bypass mode. The Bion is awesome to boost a boost.
