Suhr reactive load IR

Thinking of selling a couple of cabs, of course I'll still have two 4x12's, and getting the Suhr RLIR. Anyone have experience with I'm thinking it would be cool to record my own amp in silence. Another idea is to run two sets of headphones out of it when my drummer friend comes over so we can both hear the guitar clearly. I'd still run through a cab but I won't have to have it as loud to be able to hear myself clearly over the drums. Also, having the phones on will reduce the db level of the drums a bit.

Just a thought.

I use one. It's basically all I play through when I'm practicing at home. It was definitely a game changer for me. I can't recommend it highly enough. I also had the Fryette Power Load IR and the Two Notes Captor X but the Suhr is by far my favorite.

I want another IR load box. But I struggle between the Suhr and the Captor. I like the adjustability of the Two Notes. But do I even need it? I close mic everything anyway.

Man, The Suhr Reactive Load IR is one of the best pieces of gear I've ever bought. Now you have an IR out and a non IR out and a Headphone out so possibly you could use the IR out and head phone out to a mixer for two headphones or to a DAW.

Bill, how do you like the Fryette piece?

The Fryette was pretty good. It's pricier but it has the most features.

The main difference is size and feel.

The Fryette is stiffer and tighter, which makes sense because that's how Steve designs his amps. I think it would be great for metal

The Captor X feels smaller than the others, closer to a 2x12 than a 4x12. On the other hand, the Two Notes software is awesome.

The Suhr feels like a Marshall 4x12 and it's my favorite, since that's what I'm used to play through.

They're all good though. Just personal preference.

I have the Fractal LB-2. It is a really nice reactive loadbox. It is simple, so you can run it into something else for your cab sims. I generally use it to reamp through poweramps.

I had the IR and now just have the regular RL since I don’t need it for live use, it’s a great load box
