RIP Bernie Marsden

Post by GuitarBilly »

Before Whitesnake was the bombastic 80s glam hard rock band, they were a soulful blues based rock band and Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody were the guitar team behind their sound.

That phase of the band is often obscured by the massive success of their 80s glam era but the music was great and Marsden was a very underrated player.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

Damn, the marsden/moody/Murray/lord/paice version was, by far, my favourite line up.

This took me by surprise, sad to see this. Bernie was a good player, songwriter, and singer. I was always a Deep Purple/Whitesnake fan. All our heroes are dying off.
