NGD: headless China

Post by Holy-diver »

Saw a favorable review of this and the features actually looked kinda cool and interesting, clips sounded good. Headed over to Amazon and saw they were on sale. Verdict so far: it actually plays and sounds great right out of the box, value seems incredibly crazy for sub 300. If you are someone interested in having an affordable yet awesome headless I highly recommend checking one out. They’re called “Eart”

Thanks! I have been afraid to pull the trigger but I look at them on Amazon every once in a while.

I think I saw a mention of this brand on a YouTube channel called Dylan Talks Tone. He seemed of the mindset that there's a lot of variety nowadays coming out of China for not a lot of money.

I'm surprised how fast this style of design has grown.

Headless guitars haven't been my thing, but the low cost of entry might encourage someone like me to give one a try.

I'm also glad that these seem to have progressed from being a fad to having some long term staying power, including the R&D to progress the design.

The body shape looks exceptionally goofy to me (even as myself an owner of a goofy looking headless guitar) but definitely awesome that it's not a piece of junk

I have seen these, but I think their older design looked better. It looked more like a Strandberg.

How is the neck? Don't these have a funky shaped neck contour?

I've seen several demos of those on youtube and heard they're good for the money. I would like to try a 7 string headless multiscale but they don't appear to make one.

My son picked one of these up a few months ago. The overall quality is surprisingly good. His has purple heart and some other cool woods with a really nice finish. I set it up and while it's not a deal breaker the bridge is problematic. Setting the action and intonation on the little saddle the string sits on i noticed it isn't made of the greatest stuff. It seems to be diecast or aluminum. They also seemed to pop out all the time and i spent a half hour looking for one in my carpet.

I looked for a replacement bridge and really all i could find that didn't already cost more than the guitar was what seemed like the same bridge on various guitar parts sites and eBay.

It sounds good, it plays well, there's not a problem with it yet so it doesn't need to fixed IMO.

No funky neck it’s a standard 25.5 with a normal feeling neck maybe like a sort of average C shape.

RE the saddles, I think the ones on this are made from brass now they may have changed it, I know they also have a floatable bridged one this one is the hard tail.

Ok, I looked at the guitar on the site and ordered one, should have it within the week. For that price for new you really can’t go wrong. Plus it’s so different than anything else I have and a bit of a novelty I figured why not?

For me it's mainly the giant cutout in the back as if it would have the Hipshot floating tuners there but it doesn't

Nifty, too bad they dont have a 7 string version or I'd be taking a closer look

Several months back my drumers dad was asking me if he should get an eart tele or an am. pro II. I told him I'd never heard of eart and he should definitely get the fender
