With the number of outputs I'll still have to use the daisy chain out of my pitch black, but I've used that for years without any noise issues for just one pedal, so should be fine

Yeah technically you just need to isolate your pedals in the loop from your pedals out front.
No issue daisy chaining pedals that are in the same place in the chain.

Something else peculiar I've noticed, that makes me wonder if the MXR was already on its way out. My bass wah cutting out do to a likely ground loop thing with the afterneath exp jack touching it... it hasn't happened on any of my amps where it was going on since getting the daisy chain
