Yup. DSLs dukin' it out in a mix.

Post by nightflameauto »

Continuing my tone experiments, real maplifiers this time.

DSL1 - scooped to shit, mesa cab, C90, m106 mic, boomy, deep, gut-punch, lowish gain
DSL2 - through the combo speaker, G12H30, i5 mic, middy, super tight, uber low-gain, bright, brash

A few layers of each, spread around the stereo spectrum, some bass popped through a few plugins for grit, and...

Really diggin' the bass tone here too. :idk:

Now to get time for a full song.

How ya think I feel? Tease is all I get time for between emergencies these days.

I do have some follow-up riffs I'm working out, just haven't had the time to get the arrangement laid out proper yet.

I found myself focusing on the bass line, it has this cool warble to it. What's going on there? FX?

It's got a synth-like stereo chorus on one of the three bass paths that gives it some depth and warble.

Thanks for checking it out.
