remixed. new waves plugins Butch Vig vocals. Eddie Kramer Tape. SSL Comp.

This song is real special. It's about how big of loser I am. About how I'm an online stalker and a creep.

The sound is a new height for me though.

OH, I forgot! Weird tuning. Like DADGbAE, but a half step down

Thanks a lot, dude! Yeah, TDL Nova is the most powerful EQ plug in I have. I've just started unlocking what it can do.

TDL Kotelnikov sure sounds good on drums, vocals, and, mastering. Just awesome.

TDL Slick EQ can sure add some polish as well.

Remixed everything with new plugins. This Butch Vig vocals is TIGHT. looks kind of strange, and the UI is sort of weird, but it works.

Thanks, man!

I was going for a post-rock atmospheric soup with the guitars.

My tastes are fucked. I was sure this was genius.

Track sounds killer man and I am happy to see you putting out tracks again :)
A little mix suggestion here would be to mix your vocals a bit louder. That is a dense track and the vocals a re a bit low in the mix.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

Thanks, Billy!

FWIW, Are you listening to the remixed version or the original? I switched the links out. I mixed the vocals much higher in the remix. The new one has a Chicago skyline in the background.

Oh wait, nevermind. I already deleted the original mix.

I can remix it again! :D

Catching up on Gene tracks today...

Dude... bro... this is brilliant. Strong Washed Out vibe (band that did the Portlandia theme song) but with more interesting lyrics. What are you using for the drum sequencer? I'm sure it's in your gear description above but I don't know what most of that stuff is. :(

I would buy this and go see your shows.

fwiw I prefer the more fuzz version on your SC :o

Nothing wrong with the vocals but I prefer them being part of the wash instead of standing above. It just blends in perfectly without being buried. The fuzz helps fill the track in... imo of course

Thanks a lot dude! Yeah, I’m pretty proud of the lyrics on this. Performance enhancing supplements pay off.

I’m using an akai tomcat for drums. It’s like the red headed step child of analog drum machines. That said, good plugins can make it interesting. The ui is nice and so are the akai buttons.

I don’t have the looks are confidence, but..

I’ve always said, there are tons of shredding guitar gods, but singing is where I always got paid.

Thanks dude!
