Etherial Guitars: Any Experiences?
Good afternoon,
My love for headless guitars, which are not shaped like traditional models, and are not made out of wood, has brought a new name to the game: Etherial, out of Australia.
They make a headless, but it seems like they’re more of a custom shop, which is okay, because that’s how I’m going to roll. Ideally, I’d like a Strandberg trem, a Strandberg neck profile, Lace Alumitone Deathbuckers, and the Etherial build.
You guys will all hate them because they’re not a Les Paul, but that’s exactly why I love their products. But, how do they play? How do they feel on the shoulders? Is this a company I should be giving my money to build me a headless, multiscale, 7-string guitar, made out of composites and aluminum?
Thank you.

Re: Etherial Guitars: Any Experiences?
I don't have any experience with them. First time I am hearing about them actually.
I finally played a Strandberg last week at atomic and didn't like it at all.

Likely $4K+ for a custom guitar of a brand you've never played before seems like a bad time

Re: Etherial Guitars: Any Experiences?
Good enough. I’ll stick to hoping and praying that Ola Strandberg collaborates with Basslab, or just get the Aristides H/07R, which will, when spec’d my way, still cost less than the Etherial.

Have you checked out Aviator guitars? A friend of mine got a custom from them some years back and it's pretty badass

That would probably be my choice if I ever got a headless. Or a strat shape Steinberger.

Re: Etherial Guitars: Any Experiences?
All of these are wooden guitars, and are the antithesis of this thread. Nope, Aristides it is.
I have pretty strict requirements, in no particular order:
1. Must be headless
2. Must be multiscale
3. Must be made of materials other than wood
4. Must have a trem
5. Must be somewhat ergonomically designed
6. Must not sound like total ass
I said they were strict criteria, not rational criteria.

I love mine, even though like Endtime said it looks like the "bludgeoned head of Mussolini"

If their newer doublecut body had been available at the time I would have went for that, but I still don't mind this one

I still think the Steinberger GM is the best headless body style ever made and nothing else really even comes close
I can't fucking believe they still don't have a cheaper reissue version of it available these days; I'm fairly certain shit would sell like crazy

Yeah I agree. I think they'll come up with one eventually. It seems like the new Gibson management strategy is to fix one brand at a time. They focused on Gibson first, then Epiphone and recently it seems like their focus is on revamping Kramer. So maybe Steinberger is next? Who knows. They should definitely take advantage of the current headless popularity.
I personally don't think the current headless trend will last long or age well. But who knows
