NPAD!

Post by boris the blade »

New Power amp day! I traded some pedals for an Engl 850/100 power amp! Has a whopping 8 power tubes! I had sold off some of my preamp pedals, but kept one (hagerman thermionic reinforcer) just in case I got a power amp at some point. And I did! The preamp and power amp sound great together!

It's a great day today  :hi5: Very happy with this deal.

Damn, I think the hagerman/engl setup suits my playing much more than the laney! I'm liking it a lot and now want to experiment with other preamps lmao

Any recommendations?

Great!! I'm not a metal player. Classic rock up to the 80s is what I do and I had no issues getting these tones out of it.

Damn it, there was an E530 on reverb for 395 and the guy was local. Asked if I could meet up with him and I guess it sold in the middle of our conversation.

Are these hafler preaamps any good? I had a T2 during my noob guitar years and I don't remember what it sounded like.

I had a Hafler T2 if I remember correctly. Not so great. A Kartakou Collosus would be a good one to have.

The Triple Giant is the only Hafler preamp worth buying

Their mosfet power amps are amazing though. Any model..

But for preamps it's only the TG
