First new Song in MANY years for my old Death metal band

Post by EndTime »

Don't expect this to be too many people's Cup o Tea on here but fuck it. Ive been doing stuff for this band, World Of Shit, since literally the 90s and it just got harder and harder to get shit done with the old vocalist.. But Im still cool with my OTHER older band and the vocalist in that band helped out on this.. ITs only 2;17, so maybe some of you can stomach it! hah Oh yeah, NOT finished.. Guitars are using my EVH with IRs. They are fine and all but I hear some shit I always do, but these are cool for this demo version stuff!

well thanks Dude!

Thanks you too.. I honestly think it works best WITHIN the rest of the songs we are doing.. That was sorta the point of this song was to add something a little less formulaic, altho the other 2 aren't exact cookie cutter, especially one of em is pretty off the rails.. but I wanted something that still broke up the other songs a bit. Even tho no one listens start to finish anymore, this track is completely meant to fit within the context of the rest.. And since only I have the rest of the track list, you'll have to believe me when I say it works exactly as I hoped !! hahah

It sounds great man! The vocal style is not my cup of tea, but regardless, the song is really well done and easily as good or better than anything out there in this style. The riffs and tones are awesome!!
Guitars:

I get that. I still listen to albums and shit start to finish lol. I don't like the ADD feeling I get when bouncing between albums/bands, so yeah, makes perfect sense to me!

Awesome dudes! Thanks for checking it..

For fun perhaps, this is one of the other tracks being included. In fact it’s would be next in the track list! . We did this one almost 10 years ago! But I never found the right time to release it and it was definitely shit I wanted to put out beyond SoundCloud. I recall some of the recording aspects, which would have been my XXX straight in with EMG81. Had to still be Legend V12s likely miced with a Beta 57 which I used over an sm57 for years.

Vocals aren't really my thing, but they fit the track well. The track is brutal af and the riffs are killer

Hah thabks bruh! The ending! Yeah. A little sumthin different perhaps. But if you listen to VH Little guitars, the opening acoustic bit where he trem picks the high strings and then simply frets the notes without ever picking them??! If that makes sense? Lol. That’s what I’m doing there. So I never break the trem picking and all the chords are simply me “slapping” down with my fret hand to make enough noise to come over the G and B string trem picking

I like the vocals too! It’s always gonna be a little more harsh and a a little more extreme with this guy on the vox but it’s how we roll.

Thanks!

Love the tribal like vibe of the main riff man, cool as hell. Vocals wise... I think a more Jeff Becerra/Possessed style would really fit well to my ears but other than that still very cool man.
