Favorite intro ever, obviously Marshall amps but any ideas to specifics? The amps/cabs look new-ish compared to a lot of his vintage stuff?
Any suggestions at getting this tone at a lower volume, maybe a JTM1 with a boost? I already have a Classic Vibe 50s Squire Strat-threw a HS2 in the bridge and wired up the tone control. Tried to boost my Vox AC4TV but it still sounds too...harsh and blah. (And that's with a NOS Slyvania 12AV7 in there.)
I'd prefer low-watt/little amp, into a large cabinet so it still sounds "big" but isn't quite as loud.
Also I have a Class 5 head that doesn't do it AT ALL-and will likely trade that in towards whatever will get closer to that sound (so don't suggest a Class 5 haha.)
What amps/effects (EJ Video) are used here?

Wow, that was impressive. I love how half of the shredding is completely off time with the rest of the song but it just works.
I would think that a NMV 50w Marshall turned to 8 or so with a cab loaded with greenbacks, a strat and a tubescreamer would get you close. You can tell he does a lot of volume roll off too and that might have a good bit to do with the normal tone he gets.
Of course, the above could just be a stab in the dark and completely off base.

That cable is twisted wrong and you used the wrong batteries in my pedals. My tone is totally off now

EJ's big thing aside from the Butler Tube Driver and cranked Marshalls is rolling back the tone knob on the bridge pickup. He usually takes it back to between 5-7 depending on the guitar.
