Silly bastards being jealous and thinking you're lucky? WTF?
Fuck snow. Never was a big fan of it, even as a kid when sledding was sorta fun. Even less of a fan now when it's main impact on me is: A) Hours of tossing snow onto the nine-foot drifts beside the driveway every few days. B) Fucking with our house.

And then leaving it behind and coming home to Texas before it gets annoying.
Just got off the phone with a good friend of mine who currently lives in Oklahoma (friends since 1974 if you can believe it), and we were talking about how we would ride 70s era snowmobiles back in the 80s. Great memories but yeah, after a bit the good times turn into a frozen hell.

Somewhere in the ancient history of the interwebz there was a journal of sorts making the rounds of a guy that moved from somewhere that had never had snow to somewhere that had heavy snow all winter. It started with him all happy every time it snowed, out waving at the dude running the plow, digging out his mailbox, etc. By the end he's saying things like, "Fuck the mail. The post office can dig the bastard out themselves" and "I swear to god the plow operator is waiting around the corner until I finish the driveway and right about the time I get warmed up inside her comes by again and fills in the end of it."
For those of us that have spent our whole lives dealing with it, since pops shoved the shovel into your hands the second you were old enough to hold it because he hated that white fucking bullshit too, we *started* at the end of that journal and it's only gotten worse from there.

Do you guys just go buy like a pallet of bourbon before winter so you don’t have to go out in that garbage?
I couldn’t imagine living in the snow again. First, I love shorts too much. My girl loves cankles. Second, I’ve become too fat to bend over and tie shoes so flip flops aren’t working there.

We got exactly one day of snow here in DC this year. And it wasn't even a heavy one. I would not have minded a few more days, but I don't like heavy winters. We used to get a lot of snow in PA and it got old really quick. I think snow is beautiful but fuck clearing out the driveway every couple of days...

When I finished my training UPMC had a great opening. Was really close to taking it, then imagined getting called in the middle of the night during winter and having to battle the snow and ice on all the bridges.
Didn’t understand why my dad hated the snow so much and wanted to move to Arizona. Looking back yeah no shit who wants to shovel that out and drive in it every morning.
