Samaritan 2/10

Amazon Original, Stallone playing a guy a neighborhood kid thinks is a vanished superhero.

This shit was terrible, don’t watch.

Day Shift 5/10 (netflix)
Once again, a totally predictable plot with painfully stereotyped characters. Don't bother

Watched the Stallone flick anyway

Um; probably one of the better 4/10 films I have seen? Child actor wasn't good; actor portrayal of the villain was ridiculous and the overall tone of the film was like a weird mix of Spy Kids style "humor" and I don't what else. Weirdo Nickelodeon dude using his Drexel Spivey Starter Kit was also very distracting. Despite all that; it was ok. I wouldn't necessarily watch it again but I made it through it if nothing else and enjoyed some moments here and there.

Also; watched Top Gun Maverick right after. Was very good. Took enough beats from the original while going it's own way (aka recreating tensions and scenes from the original but doing it slyly enough that it isn't always obvious). I enjoyed it quite a bit. Especially compared to the Stallone flick.

Nope: I mean.../10

I consider "Us" to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen, but I liked his first movie for its uniqueness. In that trend, Nope was very unique, and with the exception of a few dumb things, I kinda enjoyed it. Especially the creature design. Turn brain off, watch movie. It works.

I was worried it would be dumb, but it was pretty hilarious and action packed from beginning to end.

Morbius - 5/10 - It was on HBO Max, I figured what the hell, I'll give it a go. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. After watching it, it made me think of the comic book movies from the late 80's (Dolph Lungren Punisher) and 90's ( Spawn) So if it would have came out 25 years ago, it would have been better reviewed

Agreed on all points

Despite bullock, this is one of the more entertaining movies I’ve seen in a long time.
