Bias Fx? Thoughts?

What are our collective thoughts on the Bias plugins?
I've been an Amplitube user for years and have enjoyed it for bass and guitar. Recently got the free Bias Amp 2 LE plugin, haven't used it for guitar yet. But I did plugin a PBass and was able to get a good Ampeg sound in seconds,where as I'm still not 100% happy with my Amplitube bass sound.

Bias stuff is on sale this month, so I figure its a good time to ask the GGF brother and sisterhood.

Bro, there are so many other plugins out there that are way better and cost way less.

BIAS and Positive Grid made a name for themselves doing one of the first phone app/guitar sims and for what it cost it was awesome.

People were really excited for them to come out with a plugin and when they did it was like $200 vs the FIVE DOLLAR PHONE APP.

For $5 that shit was cool, but wasn’t nearly good enough to justify $200. Not to mention their software is riddled with problems that they don’t do anything about. Wrote em off years ago.

Anything from Mercuriall Audio is gonna kick ass, anything from Neural DSP same. There’s a ton of great software out there that just plain destroys BIAS and costs half or even less.

What is it you’re looking for regarding software?

I'm happy with the Ampeg sim in the freebee from Bias, so no need to speed additional $$ there. :-)
Guitar wise I'm fairly happy with Amplitube. So I'm good I guess!
