So, I'm old and stuck in my ways. I like to touch things Mainly, my penis. And balls. And my wife's ass and boobs. I digress.

I like to buy things and actually physically own them. Sure, I have an e-reader and mp3 player, but I still love books and I still love CDs.

That's what this thread is for. Your recent book/movie/album/video game purchases, BUT ones you actually physically can hold. Why?

Cause, that's why.

I've been on a CD buying binge lately:

The Sword: Warp Riders
Testament: Dark Roots of the Earth
Shrinebuilder: Shrinebuilder
Black Tusk: Set the Dial

And all of them have been well worth the purchase price. Haven't had a chance to watch the Testament DVD that came with the disc yet though.

I still buy cd copies of everything I want to listen to, I'm too picky to listen to compressed MP3's much and iTunes drives me bonkers. I might get into high rez downloads, though.
Probably pick up Machine Head's last album soon, I think.

I'm also in the "i prefer physical copies" club. If i have a choice I'll buy a physical CD of something before downloading it.Haven't bought anything recently though. I think the last album I got was an Alice Cooper Greatest Hits CD that was my girl's Christmas present
Gotta have some SOUL.

Other albums I've picked up in the last 2 months:

Black Sabbath- Paranoid
Indian- Guiltless (one of their guitarists used to post on HCFX)
Baroness- Yellow & Green, Blue (again since my CD disappeared)

Diocide, I think you posted a Windhand song in the other thread, I will have to check them out. Always looking for some good doom.

I was given an iTunes gift card for Xmas, so I bought the remaining Collective Soul albums I neglected to purchase all these years: Disciplined Breakdown, Dosage and Blender.

Teh last 2 cds I bought were:

Yeah, I went all hipster and ditched HC. I don't support big business because it is ironic. I don't know what ironic means, but it sounds cool.

I only buy physical CD's for new music that comes out. Then I throw away the jewel case and put them in a big Case Logic (omg i feel old saying that ) thingy and either listen via CD or rip at 320k and put it on my iPod. At highway speeds, CD vs. high bitrate rip isn't as huge a difference, IMO anyway.

Not sure what I bot last tho... maybe the new Muse. RED's new CD is coming out next mo' so I'll be getting that. :D
