So the Zooms better? Yea, Randall is kicking butt in the SS department. I need to try one myself.
Re: SS Posse
FYI
the randall RG13 sounds very similiar to the $79 BIYANG Metal King pedal
IMHO of course

Re: SS Posse
The byang pedals sound like the Akai pedals to me. Man I need to cut my hair, its too long now. Its only 6 inches from touching my waist!!! I'm gonna cut it all short, screw it.
Re: SS Posse
never tried any Akai pedals but it seems the BIYANG pedals are a whole lot cheaper
Re: SS Posse
I can't find another Lefty guitar I like. Either they are neck heavy, or have thick necks. I want a short scale with a thin neck, for standard tuning. And keep my Strat in drop tuning. I was thinking of maybe a SX short scale. Its 24, with a 20 mm neck. Only 1 1/2 at the nut, but that really shouldn't be a problem. My Banjo is a V profile, and only 1 inch at the nut. I don't wanna blow money building another guitar, cause I gots to buy a new car. My drifter done died.

Re: SS Posse
I could also do a Lefty Douglas Peragro. Full size Strat body, with a 24 scale neck. I would have to sand it down, as its 22 MM at the first fret. I like around 19.5

Just got an AMT Tube Cake for under $50.
Next is the little Randall cab.

Re: SS Posse
I'm gonna sell my Strat and pedals, and get a salem guitar. The Sad Fester is what I've been wanting.
Re: SS Posse
Went ahead and ordered a lefty Peragro to play with. I need to make sure I like the short scale, before I sell my Strat.

ss amps i have include tech 21 trademark 10, trademark 30, 2 powerengines (1x12 and a 4x10). ss modeling pedals that work with the powerengines, tech 21 tri ac, tech 21 character british(v2) , liverpool (v1), blonde (v1), gni amp simulator, and amt e-1 legend series.
i also have some amt drive series pedals but i use those in front up tube amps usually (o drive, p drive, and recently aquired b drive).

Re: SS Posse
A couple people at old HC had the Tech 120 combo and 300 head. That 300 head was so f'ing loud lol. I wanted one, but they got discontinued.
Re: SS Posse
No idea Kruger. I need to go play the new Randalls sometime. Gape might know.

So whats up with the new effects loop system they came up with.
They made it seem like a tradiotional loop isnt built in to the circuitry of the amp and is sort of just in the chain somewhere in there.
I guese if the effects loop was in the circuitry effects you use respond as if they were a part of the amps circuitry?!?!?
How is this effects loop diffrent than what everybody else uses.
Im not disclaiming or accusing them of mis advertisement on the contrary I am quite ammused with this new aproach.
Does someone know exactly how it works?
You can put any pedal (instrument level) in the loop without it screwing up the signal.
Re: SS Posse
Got the Douglas Peragro. surprisingly the necks straight, and the frets are level. No sharp ends either. I did sand down and reshaped the neck, cause I didn't dig how it felt. Now it feels a lot better. The color is also a lot darker, and better looking then on their site. The hardwares crappy, but its ok for now. I just need to shape the nut better, and refinish the neck, and it should be good.
Re: SS Posse
I remember seeing a used one, but never got to hear it. Well I shaved the shoulders off the neck, and took it from 22mm to a little under 20. I sanded until it was super smooth, and finished it with Minwax wipe on satin poly. It feels great. This poly dries quick, and is very easy to use
Re: SS Posse
Neck had a slight upbow to it. Took three days to get the neck to play without any buzz. I would replace the neck, but I heard it was a 24 conversion neck? Can you even buy those?
Re: SS Posse
When I play the Douglas, then my Strat, you can really feel, see, hear the difference. It doesn't compare to the fender.

Sounds great. I wonder if Yamaha will make head or big combo versions of their amps?
Re: SS Posse
I still need to try those Blackstar LT pedals.

Thanks man! I sure hope so, because the THR10's are the best modelers i've ever played. Even the $1500 DV Mark Multiamp I bought couldnt really match the tone and feel of my THR10/10X

Sure did. Its a great unit for recording or playing alone but in a band mix my 60 watt tube heads buried it
