Amp(s) planning on selling?

Post by overdrivenel34s »

What amp(s) are you planning on selling(if any) ?

For me, i think i've finally decided to sell mt jet city 2212c. Last time i was gonna sell it i played though it one last time and had so much fun playing it i held off selling it. I just played it again recently and although can get some cool tones, its just a waste of space.

None, I love all my amps

the XXX combo is pretty middling, but I basically traded a pedal for it so its cool to have around/leave places

None. Metroplex and Egnater Seminar amp cover all things Marshall. Orange Rockerverb does the Orange thing. Vibrolux does the Fender thing and does it amazingly. Won’t get much better than that. If anything I want to add at least an EVH to the mix and possibly a Tweed or Brown Fender amp.

I'm getting a JVM today. I'll A/B it against my DSL and 2203. Depending on how close the JVM can get to these amps, I may sell one of them.
Or maybe keep them and return the JVM if I still like my current amps better.
Regardless, I'm only keeping 2 Marshalls.

Other than that, I'm not selling anything. I had a pretty big sale last month to help with the new house down payment. Sold the EVH, Mesa F100, my 2 Norlin Les Pauls, the Jackson Star, my 2 Fernandes guitars and a bunch of pedals, accessories etc. Raised almost $10k when it was all said and done. So right now I'm using everything I have here.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

Don't do it. Even if you're not playing at all right now, keep at least one good guitar and amp for when you decide to get back to it.

No. You have that beautiful Sound City setup. You can never sell that. It’s too awesome.

I still waffle on my Mesa MarkIII. For now, it's staying. But who knows.

Sometimes I think a four hole Marshall is really the only amp I need.

I'm coming to a similar conclusion. Not necessarily a 4-hole but Marshalls seem to be the only amps that have any longevity here.

I would sell my Trace Elliot TVT9 preamp. Sounds like shit.

That's about it. I'm happy with everything else.

I understand the sentiment. But once it is gone it is gone. The question I always ask myself is how will I feel watching it get loaded into the car and driven away? If I can't answer that kind of question definitively, I don't sell.

I cleared out a few amps at the beginning of the year to help out with a move. Nothing really here to sell at the moment. Syn1, Power Station, modded JCM800, and a Bluguitar Iridium are still here, and not interested in selling any of those.

Fender Ultimate Chorus DSP
Randall RG3003

Both are listed locally. The Fender is useful. The Randall isn't working properly.
