So I said screw being cheap with distortion so I went to order the Okko black edition and it was sold out. Same with the Kilington oh my goat, and empress heavy. Now i'm thinging a Diezel herbert or revv g4. That triple box of metal is also on back order. So damn lol.

I built so many clones of pedals over the last few years I have piles of them, lol. I have all kinds of things. I did 3 or 4 different Phasers. I did clone of the VH4 pedal, and the G3.

That's cool. Maybe I should try that. Then again, I might burn my house down :cop:

I quit building stuff the last year or so, but I think I built something like 80 pedals the few years before that.

Damn thats a lot lol. You must have a pedal for everything :rawk: After playing this Marshall for a while, its really not a bad amp. Its not bad with a boost, and great with distortion pedals. I like it tons better then the B-52. I'm glad the guy gave up on trying to play guitar  I guess you need to start as a teen, or you just can't really learn. I seem to meet a lot of older people that tried and quit.

I think I have 3 pedals for everything, lol.

Yeah. Actually I just 'un-modded' my JCM800 2203 clone last month. I pulled out the extra tube gain stage and put it back to a stock 2203, except for it still has a depth control. It has been fun having a mostly stock 2203 again.

I haven't tried one, but those just add an extra tube gain stage. It makes it a 4 stage preamp instead of 3, like a stock JCM800 is.

Man there are some really cool distortion pedals out now. I'm not sure what to get. I'm really looking at
Empress heavy
solar chug
revv g4
triple box of metal
And some overseas made, that I will probably never find lol. I need to try them in persn, but don't have a music store around me any more.

The Chug seems pretty popular.

I am not big on using Distortion pedals, but the other day I was playing with the Ampeg VH140C preamp clone pedal I made, and it was sounding pretty cool.

I also built a G3 clone. I didn't build the G4, but I dont think there is a massive different between them. The G3 is super tight and clear.

Man you should build the Marshall 8100 clone, and see how it is.

I have never seen an 8100 preamp clone kit/pcb, or else I would build one. I am building a Shredmaster clone, which is kind of in the same family, but not the same.

The Shredmaster and Jackhammer pedals are kinda close, but not the same. Probably the closest you can actually buy. I dont know how much the poweramp effects the overall tone though.

Been using the Marshall for my cleans, and rock distortion. But I need to get something for heavy stuff. Was looking at the tight metal pro 2 and a couple others. I was playing with my duncan distortion height and pole pices, but its still bassy. I think maybe my guitar is just bassy. It weight 10 lbs on my scale. And i'm still thinking of just getting a Warmoth neck for it. I just want a flatter radius, and taller frets. I found a Schecter Omen 6 for 300 bucks in excellent condition. Maybe i'll just try it.

I love all the Schecters. I have like 6 of them I think, lol. I have an Omen Extreme.

I got 2 Harley Benton guitars recently. I really like them also. One is a Fusion HH, the other is a flat black Strat with active pickups. They are really killer for the little they cost.

You could always use an EQ pedal also. I have gotten to where I can't hardly play my amps without tons of EQ.

What EQ do you like? I had the MXR 10 band, but maybe a parametric would work better. Or I could have put it straight into my amp like I did my Boogie :hmm:

Whenever I go to buy the HB PRS copy, they are always out of the flamed black.
