Installing Cakewalk is like drawing blood from a rabid dog

Post by GuitarBilly »

OMG

"Your software cannot be activated"

Why? it's free

Uninstall, reinstall

"Previous installation exists, do you want to overwrite it?"

Yes, that's why I'm reinstalling it

"Your previous installation was restored"

Ah fuck. Alright let me the to activate it.

"Your software cannot be activated"

Arrrghhhh!

Fuck me. Took me 5 tries. But it's up and running now and I actually like it a lot. Feels familiar like Sonar :)

But good grief. I'd happily pay for it just not to have to go through this process ever again.

You are going to have to register again every six months. Not sure why but it's easier than when you initially set it up. You'll need to log into your Bandlab account to re-register.
