What, no mention of 311? :D

Dude, you would have loved the set I played with this band last weekend at a surf contest. Sublime, Stoopid, and like a half hour of jammed out Dead tunes.

• Ghost is terrible
• Agree that Sabbath with Dio is the best lineup
• Pantera barely had 2 solid albums
• Death Magnetic and Hardwired are solid Metallica albums

On the note of Pantera,

The drums are the highlight.

Otherwise,

Gary Moore’s blues stuff is “meh”. He plays his ass off, but it’s not exciting.

HSAS is the best supergroup (sort of)

Van Halen 3 is really good.

I’ll think of some others as time goes on.

Hmmm... can't quite go there because MoP edges out PS but both albums are better than Rust in Peace.

Ozzy Scream release is his best. Zakk writes the riffs, Gus delivers it flawlessly, tones, performance, and songwriting are amazing, Ozzy gets into gristly screaming.

Right there with ya good buddy. I've always liked this one. A lot.

This video doesn't show it for some reason, but at the end of that song Cornell takes his hand and knifes it into his neck to create that stutter effect. Crazy stuff!

I'm sorry to say, but when Nickelback comes on the radio, sometimes I leave it on and I think I might enjoy it.

That's not that unpopular of an opinion. In fact, it's pretty typical if somebody makes the mistake of mentioning they liked some aspect of eighties music, whatever it is, he's likely to get thoroughly roasted for it.

I like eighties music. Pop, thrash, the early stirrings of death, even hair metal up until shit like Enuffznuff where even the guys naming the band were like, "Everybody's sick of this shit. How about Enuffznuff?" I love it all.
