You can run it a ton of different ways...the way I've been running it is...

You run a parallel effects loop out from the amplifier into the GCX switcher. One loop of the GCX contains the Gmaj2 which then splits the signal into stereo. The other loops contain pedals. The stereo out from the Gmaj2 goes into the SLA-2 which is a stereo amplifier. The outs from the amp go to cabinets on either side of the main (dry) amp. So you've still got a regular Guitar>amp>cabinet rig...but you've also got this stereo effects thing going on at the same time.

This is why it's called a wet/dry/wet rig. Looking from the front from left to right, you have a cabinet with effects (wet)...a cabinet without effects (dry)...and another cabinet with effects (wet). And since the cabinets with effects are in stereo...it sounds like you're playing a fucking arena when you play.

The Furman is to provide good clean power, tell you your wall voltage, and provide lights on a dark stage...
The Ground Control Pro is to control the Gmaj2 and the GCX...(and possibly your amp if it's midi capable)
The rack drawer is to hold your pedals...
The SLA-2 is to power the two stereo cabs with the signal from the Gmaj2.
The GMaj2 is a dedicated effects processor.

If you have any other questions...holla!

Where do the pedals go?
Back into the DRY rig?
Or anywhere you want?

Pedals go on the sliding drawer.

;)

Really, they do.

Level based effects (and wah) should probably go in front of the amp. Then put your time based effects (reverb, delay, phaser, chorus etc) in the loops of the GCX...the output from the GCX to the input of the Gmaj2.

You COULD run your guitar straight into the GCX and put any overdrives and distortions in the first few loops of the GCX, then put the amplifier in one loop, and then the parallel loop out from the head BACK into that GCX loop. Then put your time based effects in the GCX too. You'd just have to program the system so the loop your amp is in would always be on....it'd be a little harder to run and would only allow 7 pedals, but you could get ALL your pedals into the rack and you'd only have the ground control pro to step on.
