I bought a brand new OEM System Builder Version of Windows 8 (for building a new system after a reformat) and I HATE the interface. Most people love it, but I don't. I have installed it once, then reformatted until I get a different copy of Windows 7.

I'll mail it free to GAB'ers just like I got it from Microsoft for $100+.

No, I meant most people love it. I don't because I mostly work in the file manage Windows Explorer.

I love it. It's very fast and very stable. I've even gotten used to the Metro side, although I rarely use it.

Most people hate it though. Basically because they don't want to take the time to learn it IMHO. I fix computers as part of my living, and I rarely run into anyone who likes it. I've had a few people pay to install 7 instead.

Start 8 and Classic Shell are free alternatives that make it look like windows 7. You can completely shut the Metro stuff out.

Really? Most people I've talked to like it a lot. Mainly because they are not computer people, they just like browsing, email, connecting Skype, .... I know it's kind of different. But I like the old desktop style because of my apps being handy. I do some website stuff, and other things like that. I never go to 'videos' or 'music'. You being a pro you probably don't either.

Dowload Start 8 and you will instantly get the old desktop style back. Windows 8 is great, it's super fast and stable.
